This painting is a deconstruction of another painting of mine, autumn tree. While I adore God’s artistry in the natural world and I don’t feel that it needs to be intensified or added upon, I enjoyed doing just that in this painting. Other paintings of mine may be serious attempts to imitate beauty already placed in the world by God, but sometimes it’s nice to create my own world and use whatever colors I want in it. I feel like this is a playful piece that would go nicely in the living room of someone who enjoys bright and funky home decor, or would catch and draw the eye in a home with more neutral colors.
