I was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and moved around with my big family most of my life. But for the past 14 years I’ve lived in Northern Virginia with some back and forth between here and Ottawa City, Ontario. When I was 10 I drew my first portrait and people gave it lots of compliments. I clung to art right away and developed a mad love for it. I took up oil paints, charcoal, portraiture, scenery, and surreal illustrations from my imagination, and since then my style has not changed much, only developed. My first inspirations were comic books, Bob Ross, and the African paintings from my birthplace that hung in our living room. Lately, my inspiration has been illustrators Arthur Rackham and Ian Miller as well as classical artists Van Gogh and Cezanne. For me, art is the language I speak, the air I breathe.

I wouldn’t know what to do without it.
